Your privacy is of the utmost importance at Aurinox. The relationship between a client and a psychotherapist is protected by law, meaning that your information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
However, there are important exceptions where we are legally or ethically required to break confidentiality:
Exceptions to Confidentiality
Suspected Abuse or Neglect – If there is reason to believe that a child, dependent adult, or elder is being abused or neglected, we are required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
Threats of Harm to Others – If a client expresses a serious intention to harm another person, we must take steps to protect the intended victim, which may include notifying law enforcement and the individual at risk.
Risk of Self-Harm – If a client is at risk of harming themselves, we will take appropriate measures to ensure their safety. This may include working with the client to develop a safety plan, involving emergency contacts, or seeking additional interventions if necessary.
Coaching, Sound Healing & Holistic Services
While coaching and holistic healing services are deeply transformative, it’s important to note that these services are not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical treatment.
Coaching – Conversations in coaching sessions are private but are not protected under psychotherapy confidentiality laws. However, we uphold professional discretion and ethical guidelines to maintain your privacy.
Sound Healing & Holistic Services – These services are designed for wellness and relaxation and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you have a mental health or medical concern, we encourage you to seek appropriate professional care.
Personal Responsibility – Clients engaging in coaching, sound healing, or holistic services understand that their results depend on their personal commitment, participation, and individual circumstances.
Data Privacy & Security
Electronic Communications – If you choose to communicate via email, text, or any other electronic means, please be aware that these communications may not be fully secure. We take reasonable steps to protect your privacy, but we encourage you to use discretion when sharing sensitive information.
Third-Party Platforms – If you book sessions through Grow Therapy, Headway, or TherapyNotes, please refer to their individual privacy policies regarding data protection and confidentiality.
Website Privacy – Any personal information collected through this website (such as contact form submissions) is kept confidential and is never shared without consent.
